VSS Quad SUP-720 failure senario.

Hello,

We are planning to migrate our VSS setup from Dual to Quad design.

can any one share the experince of what happen if Active VSS SUP-720 fail, does the full chassis reload or only the ICS reload and come back

as VSS Standby and ICA.

we are trying to avoid the case of full chassis reload and bring all the links down.

Hello ,

In  Quad Sup scenario , if primary Sup of VSS master fails, the standby SUP in the same chassis will become active within sub seconds and no change in the links/topology expected

Hi Harish,

Thanks for your comments, does this for SUP-720 or 2T.

in SUP-720 the standby will be in RPR mode and could take more than 1 min to boot as VSS standby.
