VTP domain zero + server and transperant setup

Hi All ,

I have configiured 3750 switch as a server and domain name is zero i mean domain is not configured.

I have connected 2950 switch which is transperant switch  to 3750 switch and configured default gateway which is the vlan 1 ip of 3750 switch.

3750 switch config :

vtp mode server

ip routing

int vlan 1

10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

no shut

int gig 1/0/1

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk enacapsulation dot1q

no shutdown

2950 switch config

-----------------------------

vtp mode transperant

int vlan 1

ip address 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.0

no shut

ip default-gateway 10.1.1.1

int f0/0

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk enacapsulation dot1q

no shutdown

When I try to ping to gateway ip 10.1.1.1 from 2950 switch , its not pinging.

what could be the problem ...

If you run 'show ip int trunk', does it show that the trunk port is up between the 2950 and 3750, on ports gi1/0/1(3750_ and f0/0(2950)

Also, can you post the ping command that you are testing this on?
