VTP Loop Prevention

In a Redundant Topology, How Does VTP Avoid Loops When Sending Its Summary Advertisement

Hi @Ali Hazim ,

 

The VTP packets are carried by vlan 1.

All Cisco switches use PVST, which means that the switches run to separate STP for each VLAN.

Actually, it is STP that avoids loops in traffic control packets, such as VTP.

Server—In VTP server mode, you can create, modify, and delete VLANs and specify other configuration parameters, such as VTP version and VTP pruning, for the entire VTP domain. VTP servers advertise their VLAN configuration to other switches in the same VTP domain and synchronize their VLAN configuration with other switches based on advertisements received over trunk links. VTP server is the default mode.

 

what kind of Loop we are discussing here ? Loops are on L2 how  you desing STP in the network.?
