VTP trunking on a 4507 switch

I have a quick question if you set up a trunk port on a 4507 switch, when the trunk is set will it reset the whole switch for a few seconds. Also if you trunk to a 2950 do u have to use croso over. sorry to ask such a basic question

Hi

No the switch will not be restart.just the port wil go up/down for few seconds.

yes for connecting between two switches u need to use cross cable.
