Hi

I studied VTP Transparent mode is domain independent , but to form trunk domain must be same (if the trunk is not form then switch wont forward VTP advertisement even if it is in the same domain)

then what is the use of domain independent feature in Transparent mode ?

Hello,

as a matter of fact, there is no such thing as transparent mode domain independence. Although the documentation states that a switch in VTP transparent mode does not check the domain, in reality it does. You can easily test this by configuring a domain and then change the domain name on a transparent switch. No VTP updates will be sent across...

I have one more doubt,

What is the difference between  VTP pruning & VLAN pruning in trunk, both are configured by manually and both features prevents the VLAN frame in trunk, then what is the difference ?
