WCCP counters - What does "Total Packets Redirected" really mean?
I have WCCP enabled on my 7K and I'm redirecting packets, based on an ACL, to a Bluecoat ProxySG. I've got a span session setup sourcing the interface (rx and tx) to which the Bluecoat is physically connected. I'm capturing every packet. The numbers I'm seeing are not adding up. The "show ip wccp 90" command shows a much higher value for "Total Packets Redirected" than I'm seeing in the Wireshark packet capture. It's not even close. Furthermore, my ACL is locked down to just one IP address and that station is not up at the moment yet the "Total Packets Redirected" is still incrementing.
