Rohit,

%C4K_SUPERVISOR-2-SOFTERROR: memory inconsistency detect

The above error is caused due to a soft parity error detected in your device memory.

Explanation:  An inconsistency was detected in the memory referred to in this message.

Recommended Action:  A reload of the system may be required. It is recommended that a reload be scheduled at the next available maintenance period.

If this is the first time occurrence, please schedule a maintenance window to reload the switch and monitor the device. If it occurs again, it might indicate a HW issue with the memory and the switch need to be replaced.

Inayath

Thanks Inayath but I am aware of error solution. I was wondering what does that 2 indicates in error message.

From my perspective it doesnt have any meaning. I believe rather than software writing it as word " to" they use the numeric value.

Regards

Inayath
