What are the traditional layer2 network problems that could be seen in virtualized networks ?

In traditional layer 2 or layer 3 networks , we saw many problems/challenges like :

a) packet looping

b) network congestion

etc.

The same above problems might appear in virtual networks .

Could somebody please help me list out more such problems which exist in traditional layer2 / layer3 networks which could be seen in virtualized networks as well ?

Well this is a broad subject,

Well this is a broad subject, there are a number of L2/L3 capability virtual appliances that cisco offers. It mostly depends upon what you are trying to achieve in terms of your network capability and design. If you design it right you may not face any issue. Generally the device operates the same way with a few differences, limitations and minimum requirements of the Hardware that we want to virtualize on. There are specific guides for troubleshooting every virtual appliance. for example the 1000v has the following guide just to give an example:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus1000/sw/4_2_1_s_v_1_5_1/troubleshooting/configuration/guide/n1000v_trouble/n1000v_trouble_11layer2.pdf

Can you point me to a specific issue/virtual device that you are looking towards an solution to.
