Hello all.
I have a question about Layer 3-4 Switch (for example 3560) and Router (for example 2800). What difference between that device in 3-4 layer? Which one will be faster than other.
3-4 Layer switchinng is it the same that routing?
Thanks.

Layer 3 switching -> routing based on layer 3 info such as source and destination addresses.
Layer 4 switching -> routing decisions are made based on layer 4-7 info (Application type, content type).

yes, and the difference between a L3 switch and a router is rather marketing afaik - switch being already a marketing term for bridge;-)
