It’s a built in wireless controller for local ap termination. It’s similar to the 3850s that have built in wireless.

While Adam is correct, please keep in mind that we have not supported this feature for several years. There is no shipping software that supports this.

The guide says that the AP must be connected directly to the 4507 access port.
There are 50 supported APs.

I will assume you are installing 50 APs.
LAN cable length is generally only supported up to 100M.
However, there are too many 50 APs within a 100M radius of 4507 when connected directly to the 4507.

In conclusion, if you have to connect the AP directly to the 4507, it is difficult to use the SUP8 as a controller.

I think right?
