Why are my syslog time stamps are different?

When I look at my syslogs on my 4006 switch, the events that are logged look like they have the correct time on them. If I go in and do a config t and then back out and look at the syslog, the timestamp on the new entry is incorrect. Any ideas?

try setting you timestamp to localtime as below. CST is -6 hours.http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/123tcr/123tfr/cfrgt_01.htm#wp1099739

service timestamps log datetime localtime

You need to include the following in your config

service timestamps log datetime localtime show-timezone

clock timezone CST -6

clock summer-time CDT recurring
