WS-3850 / Replace default PWR-C1-1100WAC with PWR-C1-715WAC, possible ?

Hi to all,

I didn't mean to have PWR-C1-1100WAC as default module into my switch (WS-C3850-48F-S), so i would like to know if i can replace this module with PWR-C1-715WAC ?

My current 1100W module is noisy (fan noise) and i thinks that it will reduce the power consumption of my switch and it will be more efficient, because i have only 4 POE device on it.

Does it can be possible to replace it on my device ?

Best Regards.

yes it is possible, if you do not required higher capacity, make sure you save configuration and copy the configuration outof box for safe side, change in maintenance window.

look at PSU installation guide.

This is not plug n play ? I need to change something ?

I didn't see any command line to execute into your web link :(

What i need to do please ?

I know this is plug and play, if you have other PSU as resilience, if you have only 1, the switch will go down..so i suggested safe menthod

Sorry, xould like to be sure.

The target is to replace 1100W by 750W, so only one slot will be used.

1100W will be sale after.

In this case, does the 750W will work with my switch (not go down) ? or does i need to pass specific command line ?
