So I'm having issues with a Cisco IP Phone 8851 that's connected to a WS-C2960-48PST-L. It powers up and registers. However, it's unable to make or receive calls. Is there a compatibility issue with this model phone and switch? I also have 2960X switches in my environment that work fine with 8851s.

if the phone registers to the call manager, I suggest to check there why the phone cannot initiate or receive calls.
it may have a CSS where only calls to local numbers or maybe even only to the operator are alowed!
as this is a SIP phone you may need additional configuration to call SCCP phones ?
or this: The Cisco IP Phone 8851 requires an Enhanced User Connect License (UCL) in order to connect to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

This is not the case.

There are a few 8851s that are affected by this issue. It's just at this one site. They register just fine, but cannot call out or receive calls.

I've updated the switch to the latest and greatest code. No luck.
