  Hi,

in tech-support file i can see "Information of Last System Crash" but i can't know it it's recently or an old crass because i don't know if the clock time is synchronized wit an ntp server.

If the time is correct with the crash info, i suggest to contact support to analyze that.

Hi Wajid,

As per the show tech, the switch flash does have 2 crash files, but as Pierluigi said that we don't know that these crashfiles belong to recent crashes or these are some old crash files as the timestamp gives us wrong info.

------------------ show flash: ------------------

Directory of flash:/

    3  -rwx        7641  Oct 19 2013 13:27:44 +00:00  config.text

    4  drwx        8192   Mar 1 1993 00:08:18 +00:00  crashinfo_ext

  113  -rwx        1276  Jul 22 2013 22:46:20 +00:00  vlan.dat.renamed

  114  -rwx        1216   Mar 1 1993 00:27:57 +00:00  vlan.dat

  115  drwx        8192   Mar 1 1993 00:00:13 +00:00  crashinfo

  223  drwx         512   Mar 1 1993 00:19:58 +00:00  c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3

  801  -rwx        7838  Jul 22 2013 23:04:27 +00:00  config.text.renamed

  802  -rwx        1914  Jul 22 2013 23:04:27 +00:00  private-config.text.renamed

  804  -rwx        3096   Mar 1 1993 00:02:59 +00:00  multiple-fs

  803  -rwx        1918  Oct 19 2013 13:27:44 +00:00  private-config.text

Now the next step could be to delete these two crash files from the switch and wait for the next switch crash, so the next time the comes up after the crash, look for a crash file in the switch flash, if it is there, go ahead and get the crashfile decoded and you will know why the switch crashed.

Also one more thing to notice is the show version output which says:

System returned to ROM by power-on

So there are chances that the switch went down because of some issues with power. So get the power supply and the UPS checked.

In cases of crash due to internal software errors the show version says something like

"system returned to ROM by Bus error 0xyz"

Thanks

Ankur
