WS-C3750x-48P-S Xmodem Issues

I have had to xmodem a new 3750x 48 port powered switch, the xmaodem procedure runs and completes as expected.  The issue I have is when the IOS is unpacking after the xmodem procedure, the switch reloads and the IOS does not boot, when I do a dir, there is no IOS.  I have tried this with 3 different IOS Versions.  I have attached some screen captures.xmodem1.jpgxmodem2.jpg

The bootstrap (aka microcode) upgrade of a 3750X takes heart-stopping 45 minutes long.

Ummmm ... 3750X can be booted from a USB stick.  Try that.

Hi

The version it should be booting from is  c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE1.bin, but it is trying to boot from c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.SE5.bin.  Before starting the xmaodem procedure I formated flash.

Hi Neville,

Could you attach the txt file with complete logs of the xmodem boot procedure, please?

Also, is the switch is looking for the same as you are copying by xmodem (12.2(55)SE1 in the screen capture above)?

Hi,

Is it possible that you have c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.SE5.bin in the boot variable? "show boot" command in recovery mode would show you this parameters.

Also, do note leolaohoo suggestions above  - do not interrupt load process and consider using USB type A port in the back for SW upgrade instead of xmodem.
