WS-C3850-48T %IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: 1 process kernel: Buffer I/O error

Hi

We have a 3850 chassis which show the below error message in the log. unfortunatelly i can't find any informations related to that error code neighter on cisco.com nor on google.

Hi Samuel,

Looking into this quickly, could you try 3.2.3 or higher? I want to make sure we are not running into some instance of

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCud49264. If however after an upgrade, this does not resolve it, it appears this is then hardware faliure as we are having I/O errors when reading memory.

Unfortunatelly I can't access the Bug ID:

"This bug contains proprietary information and is not yet publicly available."

We are having the same issue on 03.03.04SE, put in a TAC case to see if it is hardware failure or the bug has reincarnated.  In either case we need to do something before the switch fails.
