WS-C4500X-32 VSS IOS upgrade

Hey guys,

I got two WS-C4500X-32 in VSS mode. Show version shows me this information:

ROM: 15.0(1r)SG10

bootflash:cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.05.03.E.152-1.E3.bin

Can you recommend me a new image?

Pick one and read the Release Notes. Pay close attention to the OPEN and Resolved Caveats.
There are several methods on how to upgrade the IOS on a VSS. There's the erratic ISSU/FSU/eFSU or the old-fashion-way.
The old-fashion-way is:
1. Copy the IOS to the active unit;
2. Copy the IOS to the secondary unit;
3. Change the boot variable string:
a. Remove the old boot variable string;
b. Add a new boot variable string pointing to the new IOS;
c. Add a second boot variable string pointing to the old IOS:
4. Ensure the config-registry value is correct;
5. Save the config; and
6. Reboot

Here is the latest version recommended by Cisco

cat4500e-universal.SPA.03.08.06.E.152-4.E6.bin

Also, I would use the traditional way and not use ISSU, FSU, etc... Follow the guide Leo provided.
