I would like to use the sdcard slot on the supervisor engine card, is this working? If so can any sdcard work that is 2GB or less?

yes it does. It was added to be used

Officially only Cisco SD-X45-2GB-E is supported.
Other cards can be tried but there is no guarantee that they will work. Also it is important you are aware of the Cisco Policy for Third Party Components if you are willing to try third party memories:

hope this helps.

I was looking through for the commands to use to check and see if the sdcard that i put in there was being seen, but i have not been able to find any. I have looked through the command reference for this model switch. Any other places where i could look?

it should be dir slot0:
(or show file system to see all the file systems available)
