Hi Guys,
Recently I got 2 6509-E and some linecards, everything works fine except 1 WS-X6724-SFP. If this card has installed in the 6509-E(let say A), it would show PwrDown, but if it installed in the 6509-E(let say B), it works fine, I have tried to use the other WS-X6724-SFP linecard and installed in other slot, same error. Then I have upgrade or downgrade the IOS and ROM, but with no used. Any idea? I would appreciate!

For the fan-tray 1 mode: Restricted-power , does mean lack of power?

I'd side with Reza. If the same blade works anywhere else but this chassis then you have an issue with the back-plane of the chassis.
Can you try to move anyone of the working modules to slot 1?
When you inserted the SFP blade in the slot, what does the log show?
And try the command "power enable module 1" please.

Of course, I have used other working module to slot 1, it can work, so I don't think there is a hardware problem.
I will try the command also, thank you.

I understand that if you take the same blade to a different chassis it works but in this chassis it doesn't. I also understand that you have the same IOS in both chassis.
If this is the case, I haven't seen this before so I'm keen to say that it's either an IOS bug or a hardware failure on the blade. If the blade has failed then I'd RMA it.

Yes, you are right, this is the situation.
As I am looking some threads, they said there maybe a IOS problem, I will try to upgrade it.
If anything is not help, I will RMA it. So I want to identify is it chassis or blade problem.
Anyway, thanks for your help!

This looks like a clear diag failure. Have you checked on the switch that the module powers on to see if the diagnostic
settings are the same? If not, this may explain why the module fails in one switch and not the other.

Bobby
