Any way to set the output resolution on a Cisco SX10?

Greetings,

We have our unit connected to an older Samsung plasma TV.  It recognizes the HDMI input, but refuses to display it just displaying an error "Not Supported Mode".  Looking into it further, it states that the error is displayed when an device is plugged into the TV with an unsupported resolution.

Thanks!

Hm, I must have been looking at the wrong admin guide at the time then, thanks for catching that!

I believe older SW versions allowed you to set to 720p instead of default, but newer ones do not, auto is the only option. Generally they will negotiate with a 720p monitor and work, but it sounds like the one you have isn't cooperating, you'll either need to downgrade the endpoint software or replace the monitor with something more current.

You can change the resolution of the HDMI output via the web interface, see Video Output Connector [1] Resolution in the SX10 Admin Guide that matches your software version.

EDIT: It's not possible to set output resolution on SX10 endpoints, only with SX20 and higher.

Unfortunately, this option doesn't seem to appear in the latest CE9.2.x releases.  The only option available in the web interface is "Auto".  Even the CE9.2 SX10 Admin Guide (page 128) says:

Video Output Connector [1] Resolution

Define the resolution and refresh rate for the connected screen. This value is fixed and
cannot be changed.

Default value: Auto

Value space: Auto

Auto: The system will automatically try to set the optimal resolution based on negotiation
with the connected monitor
