Browsers and Java Support and CCC

Hello!

I know this gets brought up from time to time, but I haven't been able to find an official response (or even a hint) of what might be coming in the near future.  There are numerous reports of Java support being dropped by Firefox, possibly even by the end of this year.  Is there any plan on changing how Conference Control Center works, possibly using HTML5?  Will CCC become an unsupported feature?  We have some customers that rely on the management capabilities of CCC daily.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's highly unlikely that you'll see any sort of official response to upcoming features in such a public forums as this.

Your best course of action would be to speak with your Cisco Account Manager and try to have an NDA discussion with one of the SMEs or the DEs about this.

If some of the future roadmaps that had previously been published, TMS was moving more and more to just being a scheduling system, and that all conference and endpoint management moved to Cisco Prime (and you migrated from VCS base infrastructure to CUCM).  See http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/solutions/PA/midmarket/video.pdf as one example document.

I believe that some of this may have changed recently, but I haven't seen anything official.
