Call Forward DN for CU connection transfer rules

Hi,

I have configured fixed forward DNs in 7.13 CUCM and used these DNs as destinations for personal call transfer rules to call out to the public network. The DNs are unassigned but active. The calls work when calling out via ISDN, the exchange doesn't care what the caller ID is. When calling via SIP the exchange rejects the call because the CLI presentation doesn't match the service number range.

Can someone please tell me what is the best way to change the number presentation / caller  ID of an unassigned active DN? Do I need to assign it to a phone or CTI?

Thanks, Rob.

Hi Rob,

Have you tried using a CTI - RP and assigning a legitimate number

under the External Phone number Mask portion of the DN page. I would

assume you could get away with only using one real DN for all the CTI-RP's

Cheers!
