Call Manager and Unity Upgrade

We are running Call Manager 3.1x and have purchased the upgrades all the way up through 4.0. We are going to move both Call Manager and Unity to new servers and what them both running the latest software.

Question: Is there a clean install of 4.0, without having to do all the upgrades, and is there a way to move the data from 3.1 to 4.0 or does the process have to go through all the upgrade steps to be able to retain the data.

thanks

First, only CCM v3.1(4b) can be upgraded to v3.3 or higher. I have not install CCM v4.0. Since v3.1.x used SQL 7 and V3.3.x uses SQL 2000 you must do a clean install and restore the database.

Second, unless you need features in CCM 4.x I would upgrade to CCM v3.3.3 and load SR4a. You also want to load CIPT 2000.2.6.

See link for CCM v3.3.3 documents

Run the CCM Upgrade Assistant which does a series of checks to see if your server is ready to be upgraded.
