Hi,

We installed a Cisco codec C90 in a big training room using 7 1080 Precision HD cameras daisy chaining.

Do you have a document on how to configure the C90 with 7 cameras daisy chained and guides on how to operate this cameras for example switching from 1 camera to another and how to switch using the remote control.

Thank you for help.

Hi,

You can use following document regarding daisy chain of camera and there limitation

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/camera/precisionhd/user_guide/precisionhd_1080p-720p_camera_user_guide.pdf

Look for Daisy chain section

Regarding Switching, whenever you want to use any camera ensure to have it as main video for the codec, second thing which need to be taken care is Remote control should be near to the camera to have proper control.

You need to sure of Remote IR response should come from desired camera, if cameras are near to each other, ensure to adjust DIP switch of remote.

Are you going to keep camera position fixed or it is required to move, if it is require to move are you going to rely on remote or any third party controller?

Thanks

To switch between cameras, you'll use the remote control, there are two ways of changing the camera selection.  Once you change to a different camera, all IR data from the remote to the codec will go through that camera.

Using Camera Control:

  1. Hit any arrow key to move the camera so the Camera Control options appear, as an alternative you can also get to Camera Control through the main menu.
  2. Hit the number 4 softkey top of remote (associated with the "Main Source" option located at the bottom of the screen).
  3. Select desired camera or input from list.

Using Menu:

  1. Select Settings from main menu.
  2. Select Main Source <current source>.
  3. Select desired camera or input from list.
