Hi,
I've got an old MCU 3511 that I want to setup for the lab. The problem is I do not know the IP address of the box and every serial cable I have tried so far does not seem to produce any output.
Can anybody tell me which cable I need to have and where I might be able to pick one up?
Thanks,
Jeroen

Hi
I had the same issue, in the end I used a serial breakout box with the following pinouts
1-1 Gnd to Gnd
2-3 Transmit to Receive
3-2 Receive to Transmit
That got me onto the console.

I had the same problem on an old mcu 3515. I hooked it up to my laptop Ethernet from the Ethernet port of the mcu and started wireshark to see the box arp for a default gateway. Then changed my laptop to use that ip and it got me in.
The serials suck on these units if you don't have the correct cables. But never mind, the boxes are now EoS.
Regards,
Erik
