Cisco SX20 and VCS

Hi ,

i have cisco SX20 and CUCM BE6k in site one .

and Cisco SX20 and CME in site two.

if i wnat to make video conferance between site 1 and site 2 , i must have VCS (E,C) or i can connect them direct ?

that is correct. I would recommend to configure your sx20 devices to use H323 in Direct mode if you want to use as stand alone. SIP would require a SIP registrar/ SIP proxy server like CUCM or VCS.  

To use SX20 as standalone , make sure you have the following configuration using the web interface.

Configuration->Advance Configuration->H323->Profile 1->Callsetup Mode: Direct

is site one and site two in the same network/domain? if yes, then you don't need a VCS C/E.

If Site one and site two are in two separate networks then yes, you will need VCS C/E.

those two sites will be connect using VPN site-to-site OR MPLS

so i can use SX20 in both site as stand alone and dial the real IP of SX20 ?
