Might be a silly question, but have you checked that your content cable is plugged in to the correct socket in the back of the DX (the one with the small laptop symbol closest to the USB ports)? Have you checked that the HDMI cable works with other devices (in case it is a faulty cable)? Have you checked that the device that you have connected to the DX isn't trying to send HDCP protected content (which the DX will correctly stop from displaying)?
