Hi Team,

Our TMS user portal is not working, when we use https://TMSSERVER/tms/booking. it is giving error that " the TMS user portal is currently unavailable. Please try again later". Even on TMS administrative web page the TMS user portal icon is not available. Kindly advise what can be the reason.

We didn't install the TMSPE but we have installed TMSXE on same TMS server.

Are you refereeing to the TMS admin booking page, or the user portal (aka TMS scheduler portal)?  If it's the TMS scheduler portal and not the admin booking page, that was removed in TMS 14.2, and replaced with what's called "Smart Scheduler" in TMSPE 1.0 - see the release notes linked beow.  You'll need to install TMSPE to use it, and doesn't require any licenses to install or use.

TMS 14.2 Release Notes

TMSPE 1.0 Release Notes

Did you recently upgrade from a previous version of TMS to 14.5, and that is when you noticed the portal icon was missing?  If so, what version did you migrate from?

After you add the Jabber users into TMSPE and create video address for them, you'll need to create a phone book source based on the provisioning directory, and when you schedule a conference that needs a Jabber users, add the user from the phone book.  TMS can then dial out to the user.

Regarding the CUCM imported endpoints, it could be that TMSPE doesn't support them, but I can't say for sure as I don't have CUCM to verify that.

Hi Patrcik,

Thanks  for reply, yes you are right, I have installed the TMSPE, now it is showing.

I have further few question may you can help me in this regard.

1- With smart scheduler it is possible to dial the jabber end points (on CUCM).

2- We don't have webex so smart scheduler can have conference with jabber end points by adding TP conductor in user provisioning template.

3- In Jabber scheduler no end points are showing for conference, although we can see them in system navigator.

4- May be I have to configure the template for Jabber users under user provisioning.

  1. Smart Scheduler can only dial endpoints that are managed by TMS or users provisioned by TMSPE.
  2. If you're referring to Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) on-premises, if you have Conductor you can use it with TMSPE without any extra licenses to create ad hoc personal conferences with Jabber or any endpoint in your environment.
  3. What type of endpoints are you trying to schedule, are they imported from CUCM and are allowed to be scheduled within TMS?
  4. TMSPE only supports VCS based endpoints for provisioning, and requires user/device licenses within TMS.  For basic schedulding within the user portal, nothing should need to be configured to use it.

Hi Patrick,

actually I have Cisco jabber with CUCM, users are having Jabber on their portable devices, I have provisioned the users on TMS, now want that TMS will auto dial these jabber clients for conference.

Is there any provisioning template record for Cisco Jabber (Registered on  CUCM) for Users provisioned in TMS.

Secondly in smart scheduler I can not select the meeting room where my end points are installed. Is this supported.

DO I need to provisioned these end points (MX 800, 700 etc) on TMS (system > provisioning > device.

There is no TMSPE templates for CUCM devices.  For your Jabber users, you'd add or import the users into TMSPE and then configure a video and device address patterns, see the deployment guides for more details.  After you've added the users, and setup their video address they will become searchable in the smart scheduler.  However, they will be added into conferences as dial in participants, if you want TMS to dial out to them automatically, you'll have to schedule the conference using the booking page within TMS and add them through a phone book - which is what we do for our provisioned users.

Can you explain what you mean mean by "can not select the meeting room"?  Are you able to schedule these endpoints using the booking page within TMS?

I can schedule from TMS booking page these end users but I can not control how will dial these user and how connection will be established. Any advise.

Thanks for your help and time.

Actually we have MX800, 700 end points added in the TMS, these end points are registered to CUCM.

We have configured room mail boxes for these end points, I can scheduled these room mail boxes from exchange.

From TMS Booking yes I can add these end points in the conference.

Thanks Patrick

one last question, the smart scheduler is available to every one or users who

have been provisioned in TMS, they will have access to smart scheduler only.

I tried to add one manual users in TMS user provisioning but that is not able to login, until I have created him under administrative too . user and group.

I can see only that users who are provisioned in TMS when I am login to smart scheduler.

Smart Scheduler is available to anyone who can access TMS and has booking permissions.
