Cisco TMS NLB

Hi everyone, I am about to deploy the TMS in cluster with Network load balancer (NLB). However, I know exactly, how the NLB works, but dont know, what is this NLB for a device. Is it a dedicated machine? Is it a vm or a network device? Do i need any license for it? I could not find any guide for its installation.

I found my answer: it is F5 NLB which supports automatic failover in contrast to hot standby redundancy model which is a manual switchover solution.
