Hi,

We have losed the virtual machine of BBDD SQL for TMS (15.6.1), the TMS virtual machine is OK.

We are going to deploy a new BBDD and we have to joing with the TMS that is working fine.

Could you please indicate me how to do it?

Hi Shalid,

Sorry!!

BBDD = Data Base

Thank you,

Hi,

Do you have any back up of the TMS database (TMSNG)? it does not be recent but if you have one it is pretty straight forward. you can start the procedure from step 3 mentioned in the following document - Restore TMS database

Else it is the same as configuring a new database for TMS and you will lose all operational and system configuration data since these are stored in the SQL database.

  1. Install the SQL [Cisco recommendation Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2014/2012 for new installations. ]
  2. Create an SQL user and login that has the dbcreator and securityadmin server roles.  This account will be the service account for Cisco TMS  [in your case you can use the existing TMS service account as this SQL user if you are not using sa user]
  3. from TMS ->  change the database settings;  Navigate to TMS Tools >> TMS Database Connection Settings: (updated with below settings)

               Database Server Instance:  <External SQL Server IP Address> (Note: Installed External SQL Server with default instance name: MSSQLSERVER)

Further configuration details you can find in following URL from page 283. Cisco TMS - DB Connection Settings

I hope it helps you further

Shalid
