You need to use the USB C port on the Desk Pro. You can convert it to USB A at the laptop end if you do not also want DisplayPort Alt Mode, ie to use the Desk Pro as an external monitor.

As indicated my @Jonathan Schulenberg, you won't be able to achieve this using USB-A.  Even if your device has USB-C, it may not work - you need to use a device that supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode if you wish to use the DeskPro as monitor/camera/speakers for your PC.  This is indicated in the Video Inputs section of the Data Sheet.

Just to clarify, DP Alt Mode is only required to use it as an external monitor. It is not required for the camera, microphone, speakers, and touch redirect (although that would be awkward without DP Alt Mode) to be useable by the laptop as USB peripherals. My understanding is that DP Alt Mode is only available on USB C ports though, so converting it to USB A would presumably rule that out. And to @Wayne DeNardi's point, not all USB C ports support DP Alt Mode - at least in the Windows ecosystem.
