Can I mount the CTS-MIC-CLNG-G2 flush to ceiling or does it have to be suspended by cables?

The idea is to suspend it, this way vibrations do not transfer through the ceiling tiles to the mic. Otherwise things like AC vibrations will get picked up by the mic.

Not advised and as others say stick to the installation guidance. How is the audio from a speaker going to reach the microphone. With it being too close to the ceiling it may not be ideal to pick up audio due to distance, reverb, etc.
