Hello,
I want to understand the call flow from CUCM to VCS to VCS-express and vice versa. Like to make a video call from Cisco IP Phone to endpoint out of the organization, the call flow will be as the following:
From the IP Phone dial: abc@external.com
The address will match SIP Route Pattern *@external.com to SIP trunk to VCS. In VCS search rule to traversal zone … etc.
Please help me to complete the call flow and correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks,

That is the correct call flow. You will have a SIP trunk from CUCM to VCS IP and also zones and search rules on the VCS to call back.
Check this guide out: http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Cisco_Unified_Communications_Manager_Deployment_Guide_CUCM_8_9_and_X7-2.pdf

Correct, use the above document for calls from CUCM to VCS.
For VCS to VCS Expressway, use this document:

I think I need this only with version 7 with 8 I should integrate VCS with expressway in other way.
