Daylight Saving Time - TMS/Endpoints/User

We've opened a case for this, but I wanted to get it to the support community as well.

We've got redundant TMS Servers running 13.2, and they are in the "GMT -5 Eastern time zone.

Our MCUs are also in the Eastern Time Zone.

Problems are occuring for endpoints in the UK - GMT London time zone.

Our users and endpoints are in many differenet time zones.   We've checked that all the codecs are set to the correct timezone on the endpointand in TMS. (except some MXP's have DST set to Off while others are set to On, which we'll fix when they are powered on next time)

When the US started Daylight Saving Time:

- conferences scheduled with US endpoints were okay.

- conferences with a mix of US and UK endpoints were changed correctly. US start time stayed the same, and moved up 1 hour for UK users.  What used to be a recurring "8am US and 1pm UK" is now "8am US and 12pm UK."

- conferences with only UK endpoints, however, were moved up by 1 hour.  A recurring 12pm meeting is now 11am.... but the UK didn't need a time change.

Users are scheduling their own conferneces and have been instructed to schedule in thier local time zone.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

It will be fixed in TMS 14.2

When can we expect a release?  We won't hold you to your answer... haha.

Hi,

The United Kingdom moves into DST on March 31st, so three weeks from now, conferences will be correct also for UK rooms.

And as Artem says: TMS 14.2 (scheduled for release in mid April) will have full time zone support when scheduling. Problems like the one you describe will then hopefully be a thing of the past.

Regards,

Kjetil

I'll endure 3 more weeks of user frustration..... but please help me not have to endure it in the fall and next spring, as I did last fall and last spring.
