E20 - Good Audio but no Video

Need some help please.

Have a new E20 with TE4.0 software registered to the CM running 8.6.

Video phone registered and made good VOIP calls ...

Also have a SIP trunk to our VCS and make successful call to a TANDBERG 1700.  Connects but no incoming video on the 1700 and no incoming video on the E20 ...

Any ideas please.

Hi Chet,

Did you try to test other video endpoints registered to your CUCM and do video call to E20 that is registered to same CUCM? Does video calling works within CUCM?

What is the current license type of your CUCM?

Regards,

Acevirgil

OK here is what we have.

Two E20's on the CM work with no issues.

We created a SIP trunk between the CM and the VCS and when the E20 calls it fails.

Search History in the VCS indicates that there is a SIP INVITE but get a Loop Detect error???

Any Ideas???

The value in search history is the alias@IP

NOTE The end points on the VTC network are all H.323 and have alias numbers so I think I have to create a transform to strip the @IP off and then I think it will interwork and connect right???

Hi Chet,

Loops in VCS is being detected due to misconfigured search rules and priorities.

Would you mind if you can share the search history for that specific call.

Also, what is the version of your VCS and endpoint registered on it.

Regards,

Acevirgil

The VCS is running X8.5.1 and the E20 is on TE4.0 and the 1700MXP is on F9.3.3.

I can't provide the VCS Search History as it's on a classified Network unless I sanitize it.

I can send it raw to your CDS facility in NC.

Yes, you need to have some transforms to enable the calling between the CUCM registered endpoints and the VCS registered endpoints.  See pages 7-23 of the Deployment Guide.

Note: there's also a note in the Deployment guide (Page 34) regarding a limitation when using an E20 and needing to have Encryption Mode set to Off.
