Exchange logs are flooded with TMSXE connection logs

I have noticed since around 1 year the Exchange logs become very huge, when I opened a yesterday logs I found TMSXE  service account is performing multiple connections on a very short of time in the whole day, what are these connections for ? Is this an expected behavior? Can we reduce number of connections (for the whole day) to Exchange servers?
