How do I set up Skype Connect with VCS - and does it work?

Hi!

We are experiencing all manner of trouble with skype video calls on our corporate network, and as we do have a functioning Telepresence environment with Jabber Video and VCS, I was hoping we might be able to solve it by moving over to SIP via Skype Connect.

But, looking around for information on how to configure this has left me with little to no information.

So, my questions are:

- in VCS, how do I add the skype sip servers? Is that supposed to be a neighbour zone?

- Do I add a search rule to redirect calls to @skype.com to that zone?

- Is it necessary to get a skype number for every person wanting incoming video calls?

If there was some kind of guide on how VCS and Skype Connect interoperates, that would be golden.

From how I see it skype is very closed.

You mention video calls, but you are talking about skype connect, which is a audio only service.

I had seen there are some 3rd party gateways but I am quite sceptical about them.

There are also 3rd party conference services which might support skype calls.

If you need more info you might want to think of contacting skype.
