How often does TMS poll endpoints and servers?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how often TMS poll endpoint and servers?

We have Cisco endpoints and Cisco servers(ex.VCS-C) which are registered with TMS 14.5.0.

(We see them at SYSTEM>NAVIGATOR)

And no TMSPE, no provisioning.

I guess TMS polls endponts and servers every 45 seconds using SMTP by default.

But I can not find what protocol does "TMSDatabaseScannerService" use and how often it poll?

Regards,

Kotaro Hashimoto

The TMSDatabaseScannerService will scan all managed endpoints every 15 minutes, infrastructure systems is scanned every 30 seconds. Depending on the system, TMS could use HTTP/S or SNMP. SNMP is used for legacy systems that doesn't support HTTP polling.

Some of the settings for how often the devices are polled can be changed within TMS.

See the Administrative Tools > Configuration > Network Settings page and look under the "TMS Services" heading.  Page 233 of the TMS Admin Guide has some descriptions of each of the settings.
