Hi,
I have a problem where presence is not working between users registered on the VCSc and the VCSe.
If a users registers on the VCSe, they can only see the presence of the VCSe registered users, and likewise, users registered on the VCSc can only see the presence of registrations on the VCSc.
TMS is running 14.1.1, with TMSPE
VCSc and VCSe are both running X7.2.
Both the VCSc and and VCSe each with Active Directory (direct) authentication
Would it be better to have VCS Control and VCS Expressway with Active Directory (direct) authentication on VCS Control?
Many thanks,
Rob

Hi,
in most cases you want the VCS-Control to hold the Presence info and the VCS Expressway to just forward requests to the VCS Control.
You have to set both Presence User Agent and Server to "on" on your Control and only the Presence User Agent on the Expressway set to "on".
You can find more details in the VCS Admin guide.

Can you provide the search rules you have for the traversal zones? Often presence gets broken from incomplete seach rules.

Hi,
Many thanks. I had the SIP SIMPLE Presence Server set to yes on the express. Set it to no and presence works from where ever you are registered.
Thanks again
