Macros and Cloud Registered Devices

I was thinking about creating a macro to prompt a user for a 5 digit number, then to append @acme.com to it and place a SIP call.

So, two questions:

1) Are macros supported on cloud (webex)  registered room devices, eg Roomkit mini?

2) is what I’m asking possible?

thanks!

Hi
Yes it should be possible. You need to create a user to allow access to the cloud registered endpoint. See these links
Good training material on customisation here https://developer.cisco.com/docs/prog-coe_resources/#!focused-learning/collaboration
Macro samples here https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/roomdevices-macros-samples

Thanks

Thanks @Ashish Patel

When you say ‘create a user’ do you mean create a local user on the device?

Also, it seems that the first link is broken? I get a 403 Forbidden error.

Thoughts?

Also, when I go to github, specifically the postman section:

https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/postman-xapi

it has a note regarding using admin user for on-prem vs integrator user for cloud registered.

I was expecting a similar note or distinction for the macro use but do not see that.

So, do I use an admin account for local macros?

I found the step by step intro which talks about setting up the integrator account. And specifically mentions on-prem vs. cloud registered.

I think I’ll go through those. But if anyone has any pointers or gotchas they ran into, that would be great.

This is the step-by-step I’m talking about.
