MCU 8510 cluster

Hi All,

Do you have any information on what happens when one of the blades in a cluster consisting of two 8510 MCU's fails?

The only information I have found is that when the slave fails, master will continue to operate and if the master fails, slave will be restarted.

But what happens after the restart? Does it start to function in a standalone mode or do you have to manually reconfigure it on the supervisor?

Any details on the cluster behaviour?

Kind regards

Maciek

I did not try it but I would expect if the master that the complete cluster fails and that the slaves do not recover

somehow unless the configured real master is up again.

See the clustering only for scalability not for redundancy.

If you want to have a redundant setup you can run the independent blades and let the conductor allocate the resouces.
