Monitor codec registration status

Hello everybody!

We have a couple of codec devices, such as: cisco sx10, tandberg and other third party sip devices. All of our codecs is registered to CUCM. We woud like to monitor registration status of codecs and send email notifications to administrators when some of them unregister.

We tryed to use TMS for this, but TMS can't send emails about endpoint registration status because it is a tiket.

Does enybody know how can we monitor our codecs?

Thank you!

Have you tried Event Notification Manager in TMS under Systems?
You can select endpoints in TMS and choose Gatekeeper Registration, though I'm not sure if this will apply to CUCM registered endpoints.
It might be possible to use RTMP, but I'm not sure.

Unfortunately "Gatekeeper Registration"and "CUCM Registration" not the same things. TMS doesn't send anything if check this.

RTMT monitors "Number of registered media devices", not a status of a single device

The devices are usually pretty stable, so shouldn't be losing their registrations enough that there should be any need to be concerned enough to send out email notifications.

If you are seeing significant registration issues, then perhaps you have some other issue present in your environment?

There are a lot of reasons to lose registration. We can't monitor them all. Nevertheless, we need to keep the codec status under control

Late reply to this thread, but did anyone come up with a solution to monitor codec registration status?

We have created the service on Java that checks TMS's database periodicaly and sends e-mail alerts If there are changes in codecs' status.
