DN: 4357 (service desk) is directly pointed (CFwall) to 4358 (route pattern), my requirement is

when we dial 4357 (service desk ) from any extension it shows 4358 , i want it to display as Service desk .please help

Hi,

This is what you can do, I have sent this config to several customers so I know this works pretty well.

*configure a CTI RP 4357 on a partition that only the DN 4357 can reach

*configure this CTI RP with an alerting name of 'Service Desk'

*configure the CTI RP CSS so it can reach the 4358 and CFA to 4358

the call flow should be something like DN4357-------CTI RP 4357--------RP 4358

This way you will see the 'Service Desk' name while the phone is ringing and you will get the callers DN once the call is answered.
