Need to filter users in Corporate Directory

In a deployment where CallManager is integrated with AD, and AD has been configured by the administrator such that all users (administrative, general, etc.) are under "Users", is there a way to filter which users are shown on the IP phones under Corporate Directory so that all of the Administrative users do not show up there?

Yes. You can either put CiscoPrivateUser in the description field in Active Directory or on the Security tab in AD, deny all permissions for the account you use for directory integration.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Two ways to accomplish this:

1. Modify the AD "Description" field for all the objects that you do not want to be visible to contain text "CiscoPrivateUser" (without quotes)

2. Move all objects that you do not want to be visible out of the "Users" OU.

Moving unwanted objects out of the Users OU will work if your integration is set to look only at that OU. Many times people allow CCM to look at an entire domain. In this case this solution will not work. You can either use CiscoPrivateUser in the description field or deny all permissions to the object for the directory integration account.
