No auto QoS on 6509-E?

I am trying to run auto qos on a 6509-E but the option isn't there. I have tried enabling mls qos from global config, but the auto qos under interface config mode still doesn't show up. Any ideas? We need to use auto qos as a temporary measure. Thanks.

IOS version 12.2(18)SXF8

I have found that auto qos wasn't supported until 12.2(33)SXH.
