Restrict connecting device

Hi all,

We wonder if we can restrict connecting devices to VCS-E via Internet.

I know we can restrict "users" using Aliases, Domain names, User accounts, but I do not know how to restrict "devices".

For example, if we configure an iPad A for Jabber for iPad, we can use that configuration on another iPad B.

That means anybody who knows the configuration can connect their devices to VCS-E and our customer wants to restrict it.

Is there any good solution?

In general you would need something like a two way authentication method or a binding on a client certificate

which is locked to some user account.

I am not aware that there is anything out there for the VCS.

Anyhow, you could either lock down the accounts that the users are not aware of the credentials

or it might also be possible to write a coll policy server which only allows a registration after

responsing to a pin number.
