Room OS 11 End of Support (EOS)

hello all

Does anyone know where we can find the End Of Support for Room OS 11 minor versions?

We had an issue with one version 11.5.X.Y and Cisco said that this version is not supported anymore and we should upgrade to 11.17 or 11.20

We had this issue because we did not find a link for Room OS 11 EOS ..

RoomOS 10 will soon be deprecated and EOS
The next on-premises software release for RoomOS 11 targeted end of June 2023 will make RoomOS 10 obsolete and end of support. Cisco supports and releases new software versions for two minor software releases per product. Since all products that have support for RoomOS 10 also have support for RoomOS 11, the RoomOS 10 software line will go end of support quicker than for example CE9 that several legacy products still depends on.

RoomOS 10 will not be removed from cisco.com right away, but will likely happen during the first quarter of 2024. Please prepare your devices and environment for upgrade to RoomOS 11 in order to stay on supported software."

All our devices are in RoomOS 11. As you wrote, RoomOS 11.9 obsoletes the RoomOS 11.5 for example?

11.X.Y means 11 is for major version, X.Y is for minor version, Am I right?

I found 11.20, 11.17 and 11.14 ... it seems that 11.14 is end of support right?

 As per the document, version 11 is not obsolete. This document is very recent.

 Only version 10 is EoL

As Far as I know Cisco retire the version and not the minor release.

 Minor release they can remove from download eventually

My issue is where I can find an announcement that says all version below 11.14 are end of support?

We opened a Cisco case and the Cisco engineer said that RoomOS 11.5.3.3 is end of support. There is somewhere a link or an announcement for this. I received nothing and this information is very difficult to find

 In fact, only version 11.14, 17 and 20 are available. But, there is no document stating that version 11 or minor release is retired. 

But, if you had this information from TAC, it might be true.

You can ask the same TAC engineer to provide the link to documents stating that the version is EOL.

RoomOS releases happen every month, and the version you are referring to was released last June. The Webex app has an EOL every 10 months after the release of a version, and it’s documented, so I assume they follow a similar policy for EOL for RoomOS. However, I couldn’t find anything highlighting this.

For a correct answer, the TAC would be able to confirm this. Additionally, since version 11.5 is not listed for download on the Cisco portal, it likely has reached EOL. Cisco typically removes EOL files from the portal.
