Speaker Tracking with 3rd party Microphones

Hi,

I am designing a VC solution for 25 pax meeting room. In which i am proposing Cisco Room Kit EQ with Quad Camera and PTZ4K for extended speaker tracking.

1. Speaker Tracking or Extended Speaker Tracking works with 3rd party Ceiling or Table mics. Or it works only with Cisco Propritory table mcirophones pro ?

2. Can we mute/unmute individual Cisco Table microphones during meeting ?

3. Speaker tracking feature works if we connect table microphone pro to 3rd party DSP ?

4. Can we use Table microphone pro for local sound reinforcement during offline meetings ?

Have you considered the new Room Vision PTZ camera which is better designed for proper speaker tracking than the older PTZ4K?

The speaker tracking functionality uses the video/facial detection to keep track of speakers and where they are in the room, so works better than just the microphones alone.   For large rooms (depending on the ceiling height), it's possibly better to go with Ceiling Mic Pros than lots of Table Mic Pros too - that way you don't generally need to worry about muting individual mics as their built-in intelligence will get rid of much of the paper shuffling and other noise that you often get right near a table mic.
