Sx10 - not holding some settings (name, h323, favourites)

Hello.

I have 4x Cisco SX10 - managed manually

I use it to call SIP between each other and H323 to use 'cloud'. They work great!. When i set up this hardware once - I do not change configuration but the problem is that every few days (restart) a several settings are lost:

- H323 mode sets up - OFF (normally is ON)  http://ip/web/config/NetworkServices option: H323 Mode

- HTTP mode sets up HTTPS (normally is HTTP+HTTPS) http://ip/web/config/NetworkServices option: HTTP mode

- System Unit Name sets up - clear/blank (normally is set up) http://ip/web/config/SystemUnit option: Name

- Favorites list set up clear (empy) (normally i have few entries)

This what i noticed. Maybe other options also change but the most important for me are the ones above.

In http://ip/web/persistency all options are set up to Persistent. And this 'missing' config thing shows up - not every restart bur random.

Model: Cisco SX10

Firmware: ce 9.6.1 4516ae5aaa1 2018-12-12 (but the same was on earlier versions)

The unit are't connected to any system... the appear as 'separate being'

Have any of you encountered such a problem?

This is very annoying and disturbing at work.

Thanks

After update the all Cisco SX10 to ce 9.7.1 - i think problem solved. Because from few weeks there no problem with 'not holding settings'. Everything is OK. (for now)

Log into the admin interface of the codec via the IP.

Go to Setup and select System Configuration.

Click on Provisioning on the left side and change the mode from CUCM to None.

Thanks,

Unfortunately this option is set up - OFF (screen below)

Try disabling CDP Mode, under NetworkServices.  Then reboot the codec.

OK i done that. We see if helps.

What do you use for Call Control? If you have a CUCM on your Infrastructure then check to see if they are Auto-registered to it, as that might also erase all settings if the profile is not configured correctly on CUCM.

I don't use any manager - because i have only 4x SX10 - and configuration is stable - i don't make any changes.
All 4 unit are not connect to anything only to the network to have 'local' ip.

Also check on the endpoint that someone hasn't enable non-persistent mode.  This can be found on the web interface under Security > Non-persistent mode.  By default, everything shoud be Persistent.

You could also do a factory reset on the device, then reconfigure it - that will confirm whether there is some setting on it them that is affecting the behaviour, or whether there is perhaps some external system (TMS/CUCM/etc) that is overwriting your settings.

Please remember to mark helpful responses and to set your question as answered if appropriate.

Like i write in my first post:
"In http://ip/web/persistency all options are set up to Persistent."
And i don't use any manager and nothing and nobody (people or system) have't access to this cisco. In the network there is no TMS/CUCM/etc. This is small solution, connection via local ip (SIP) without access from outside network.

I try to factory default - when i update to the newest firmware 6.6.2. in a few days.
