SX80 Main Camera

Hello Community,

We have SX80 running TC7.3.6. Main camera 60 is connected to HDMI input 1. 

Our issue is the codec is selecting HDMI 2 as a main camera source. 

On the Call control selecting HDMI 1 will display the camera view which is expected but why it automatically switch the source to HDMI 2 without doing any changes on the configuration? Or is there a bug or something is triggering the codec to switch the camera to HDMI 2?

Since you have two Precision 60 Cameras, do you happen to have a SpeakerTrack 60?

As it sounds as if you do, in which case, what you're describing is by design as the SpeakerTrack will detect the loudest speaker(s) and automatically use facial recognition and switch cameras if need be to keep them in frame.

According to the SX80 TC7.3 Admin Guide, there is no option to set the default main video source.

Hello Patrick,

We don't have SpeakerTrack 60. We only have one Precision 60 camera connected on HDMI 1 input of the codec. I'm just wondering why the codec automatically forcing the HDMI 2 as its main camera source but no source connected on that input. 

On the SX80 web interface Call Control page, I need to manually switch the main source to HDMI 1 to show the camera view but after a while it automatically switch back to HDMI 2 without doing anything.

By the way, we are not using the Touch 10 device as its control. We use Crestron control system in controlling the SX80. We are suspecting that it could be the Crestron is triggering the codec to switch the input source. We disconnected the R232 control cable just to isolate the issue but still we encounter same problem after disconnecting the Crestron from the SX80 codec.

If you check the endpoint logs do you see what might be changing the main video source?

You could try a factory reset at a last resort, and reconnect everything back one device at a time.

check is your default main source set to 2.

You can check from codec web interface :   setup>configuration>video>default main source.

1 should be selected for HDMI 1.

SX80 running TC software doesn't have a default main video source option, unlike other TC based endpoints.  It does however have that option if running CE software.
